Our Custom Wedding Suite Compliments of The Paper Bakery

Gracis and my 6 month wedding anniversary is quickly approaching and I am finding myself becoming increasingly more nostalgic as Oct 3rd gets closer and closer, and by Increasingly more nostalgic I mean borderline obsessive. I find myself listening to our wedding playlist on repeat, muling over our wedding album, and reminiscing over all the little details that made our day perfection. At six months in I still remember every aspect of that fairy tale day, but my biggest fear is that as time goes on these memories of even the silliest details will begin to slip away. Thankfully I had possibly the best photographer on the face of planet… here’s looking at you Don… who documented the day with such detail, everyone who looks at the pictures knows exactly who Grant and I are.

Infusing Ashley and Grant into the wedding was priority number one. We have both attended so many weddings where the couple’s embrace the latest trends and you stand there shaking your head thinking “but she hasn’t ever been to the country… she grew up at the beach… why are all of her bridesmaids wearing cowboy boots?” From the moment our invites showed up at our guests’ doors  they knew the wedding was all us.

Paper is one of the under-appreciated aspects of a wedding. More often than not, a bride skimps out on her suite in order to save money. Which is ironic since it is what really weaves a story line throughout the day. Everything we did for our suite was customized to compliment our love story. I worked for MONTHS with my dear friend and owner of The Paper Bakery to make sure every aspect was 100% perfection.

The invites greeted our guests with a hand drawn family crest complete with both of our puppies, an ode to our alma matter,Grant’s love of Hockey and Jack Daniels, and my love of Peonies and yes I said it Hello Kitty. The RSVPs highlighted our Vegas proposal, and the mis-matched fonts on the boy vs girl seating cards offered a pop of fun on the formal table settings. Everything was pure perfection. Six months later, they sit proudly in my home office, and act as my most tangible connection to the day we became Mr & Mrs Gracis .  Thepaperbakery Invite-Front-allaboutthedetails.com
