Birthday Weekend Photo Recap { Breckenridge,Co }

To say this past weekend away in Breckenridge was needed would be an understatement. It was one of those trips that goes beyond relaxation, and fun, it was truly rejuvenating.  Gracis planned every detail to pure perfection, and while the snow covered mountains have always been my favorite part about living in Colorado. The town of Breck was abuzz this past weekend with Christmas spirit as hundreds of people lined the street to get a glimpse of Santa Run, and the lighting of the town’s Christmas Tree. The energy and joy was contagious. Gracis and I giggled like little kids as we snowboarded in the mornings, held hands as we watched college football, and embraced the experiences we have shared and day dreamt of those memories in the making ( Hello Europe for our anniversary).

Finding a balance is not my forte, taking the time to slow down to reflect on what the word balance even means is unheard of in my world. This weekend was one of those rare moments where what having balance means was truly revealed to me. Balance is embracing those people, relationships, and experiences I am thankful for. Embracing those blessings comes from slowing down and disconnecting from the chaos of the real world to be present. As I approach my 26th year I am promising myself a year of balance, a year of fun, and a year focused on creating more magical experiences.
